Ohio & MJ

Ballot Measure Issue 3 would amend the state constitution to legalize recreational marijuana in Ohio, but it would also "authorize the use of medical marijuana by any person, regardless of age, who has a certification for a debilitating medical condition."

Eventually, it will pass, and I need an answer from the experts here. I will not use a bong or a vaporizer , so what is the best non smoke way to deal with my medical issues ( after the doctor finally says okay.)

If you do vote for it, be sure to also vote Yes on 2, which will automatically strip out the state created monopoly aspect of issue 3, and open it up for growers OTHER than the ten sets of wealthy investors who are pushing issue 3.

Vote no on 2.

If issue 2 passes, then it takes effect immediately, and issue 3 will not be enacted.

(Technically the ohio constitution says that if two conflicting ballot measures pass the one with more votes takes effect, but issue 2 takes effect immediately, issue 3 takes effect in 30 days)

Im sure issue 3 lawyers would argue their case if they got more votes, but I dont think they would win.

The exact text is as follows

. . .Prohibit from taking effect any proposed constitutional amendment appearing on the November 3, 2015 General Election ballot that creates a monopoly, oligopoly, or cartel for the sale, distribution, or other use of any federal Schedule I controlled substance. (Basically block issue 3)

If you want marajuana now vote no on 2 and yes on 3 is the way to vote.
