Attorney General Jeff Sessions' War on Pot May Become a War on Small Business

CNBC
January 6, 2018

- Attorney General Jeff Sessions is rescinding the 2013 Obama memo that said the federal government would not stand in the way of states legalizing marijuana.

- The majority of businesses in the legal cannabis industry are small businesses.
They may face huge legal bills and become targets of prosecution.

- The issue will come down to how the courts determine federal policy.

Sessions on Thursday repealed what's known as the Cole memo, a document that generally barred federal law enforcement officials from interfering with marijuana sales in states where the drug is legal.

In a one-page memo, he directed federal prosecutors to use their discretion in deciding whether to bring charges against distributors, growers and processors, considering the seriousness of the crime, and it's impact on the community.

we could do some real harm to Sessions, his idiotic agenda, and to Trump himself.

If he is fired than The Moron has a pretty easy path to quickly and fairly easily get rid of Mueller and derail the investigation since now all the GOP who were supporting all the investigations are now trying to derail them, obstruct them or discredit them. On the other hand I despise Sessions for 1,000,000,000+ reasons. This sucks! How do you choose between a rock and a hard place?

And let states make their own rules, this wouldn't be an issue and over time most states would legalize it as CA, CO, and WA have done.

the population with lurid tales of “Reefer Madness,” and such. I have to believe the pushback would be immense. The numbers favoring legalization continue to grow BY THE DAY! With this administration, however, any/everything is possible!
