(1,192 posts)But why is it secret? I thought that kind of thing should be disclosed.
It's either that, or they might be plotting something, which concerns me.
An outright rigging is not beneath David Brock, and super PAC's not accountable to anything.

(8,175 posts)It's not some kind of conspiracy. Come on guys...lets act like rational people here and stop grabbing at straws.
I you have a legitimate gripe against Hillary, fine...post it, but this is just the way the Hillary supporters are acting about Bernie. We are better than this.
cannabis_flower
(3,768 posts)I asked why she didn't take 10 minutes out to meet with supporters that showed up to see her. Even if it wasn't scheduled as a public event, she could have had the common courtesy to stop and shake their hands. It's not like she didn't have a security detail or anything.

(8,175 posts)read the rest of the comments in this thread. Maybe I should not have replied to the OP, but there were too many others to reply to.
cannabis_flower
(3,768 posts)but I've learned from being here to reply to someone that made that assertion and not someone that never implied such a thing.
You could reply to the first person that suggested it instead of the original poster. How was I to know that you didn't mean me?

Seriously, sometimes I'm so tired and blind by evening that after reading through a whole thread like this, I don't have the energy to scroll back up and look for a specific post. I just clicked the button at the bottom that said "reply to this thread". that's all I was trying to do. Reply to the thread, not your OP.

(5,420 posts)Because they wonder if she is meeting big money while blowing off the little people who came to see her. It speaks other character and priorities.
passiveporcupine
(8,175 posts)And if that's all she was there for, it's no surprise she was not interested in who showed up for her at the airport. She probably knew there would not be a crowd in such a place, so why waste her precious time? And yes...that is the way she would think about it. Wasting her time talking to potential voters who may not have numbers or money to interest her.
This is small news and or conspiracy theory, so I go with small news. Not important enough to talk about.

Close to 250 people attended the event, said former Congressman Nick Lampson, who works for the host and who knows the Clintons from their past campaign efforts in his behalf.
Her campaign took in more than $400,000 from the event, Lampson said.
Clinton arrived about 1:40 p.m. after a San Antonio fundraiser. She left the home at 3:15 for Burlington, Iowa, where the first-in-the-nation primary caucus will be held in 11 days.
Tahir Javed, chief executive of Riceland Health Care and Starco Implex, which distributes consumer goods from its Beaumont headquarters to stores nationwide, was Clinton's host.

cannabis_flower
(3,768 posts)that's $1600 a person if everyone donated. I wonder what it cost just to get to shake Hillary's hand?
Ilsa
(61,700 posts)I can't imagine giving that much money for this one event and campaign.
A friend told me that Ronald Raygun visited his university in the late 1980s and gave a speech, I think. After it, anyone who wanted to could remain, get in line, and shake his hand. It cost him nothing but his time.

(3,768 posts)I gave $10 online to Bernie a few weeks ago and I went by the Houston office and picked up a bumper sticker and a sign for my condo window and donate $20. I'd give more if I could but money is tight.
