Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumDo hillary supporters realy think she's gonna have an easier time dealing with congress?
I find it odd how hillary supporters say Bernie could never get anything passed through congress, as though Hillary wouldn't be confronted with the exact same congressional makeup...and as a result, the same exact difficulty getting anything done.
I wonder if they even bother to consider this... or if they think she has some secret method of securing success.

but we understand that the status quo sucks and we'd rather not put up with it.

(5,069 posts)The spin-off from that and Bernie's coat-tails the argument goes could change the make-up of Congress.
Yes those are big ifs.
But I totally agree with your point about Hillary not being able to get anything through Congress - the GOP rabble would hate her as much if not more than Obama...And she would not generate high voter turn-out.

(31,935 posts)if the superdelegates force Hillary on us, it will remain deep red. Congress will be a sexist towards her as they were racist towards Obama, and they'll spend all four years obstructing, even though they agree with her on most things.

(14,177 posts)there is that. Plus, she is a lot more cozy with Republicans. But, OTOH I think they hate her more even if they smile and laugh with her in person. I think they will be more back stabby. Okay it beats the heck out of me who is going to have a harder time. So, I am going to go with voting for the person I want rather than based on what I think they can get past the Republicons.

And if her puppetmastersbuddies in the big banks want something done, she will sign off on it, after the bought-and-paid-for Congress sends the bill to her desk.
