They already stated the format was that people submitted questions beforehand and the mods screened/picked them. Some likely weren't directed at any one candidate or could apply to all of them, and the mods then could chose who to give it to. Even that leaves a lot of room for manipulation if that's the intent, but without them actually having written/planted the questions. Truth is, given the format, they probably wouldn't have had to.

The questions were not questions from voters there. They were assigned.
