Sanders pushes message of change to huge Mason City crowd

MASON CITY, Iowa — An overflow crowd of approximately 800 jammed into The Music Man Square to hear Sen. Bernie Sanders' rallying cry to voters.

They peered in through the windows, lined eight deep into the lobby and clustered along the walls in groups of 15-20 — all jockeying to get a glimpse of the Democratic presidential hopeful.

"The only way that change takes places is when millions of people become engaged and stand up and say loudly and clearly, this government of ours belongs to all of us not just the 1 percent," he said, to another ovation.

Sanders advocated for a $15 minimum wage, urged the support of extending the nation's free public education system to include college, and pledged to give graduates who have already incurred student loan debt the opportunity to refinance to the best rates possible....
