Who would you like to see as a running mate?

I am fairly sure the dream running mate would be Elizabeth Warren but she seems very resolute about staying in the Senate.

The first that came to mind for me would be Russ Feingold.

Very similar positions as Bernie's and for the worry warts that throw the age factor into the mix, he would be a great insurance policy.
Perhaps there is another that would be a most excellent running mate.

Speculate on ... who would be your choice?

I'd like to see him pick one of the Castro brothers. They're young, southern/western, Hispanic, and progressive and it would get one into the pipeline for a future run for the presidency.

Besides, she's adamant about staying in the Senate, although I doubt she'd turn down a low profile, high power job like Comptroller of the Currency, a job that would give her a great deal of power over the big banks.

Since you asked who I'd like, rather than whether I think it's likely. And it isn't impossible-- I'm sure that Senator Warren could be convinced under the right circumstances.

In any event, I do hope Senator Sanders finds a female running mate who reflects his populist and progressive leadership. That's the sort of woman that I want to be the first female president of the U.S., and being Sander's vice president would both prepare her for the office and put her in the line of succession if President Sanders is unable to complete his third or fourth term.

I had commented in another post from a few days ago that, not to be labeled a misogynist, I just didn't agree in Hillary's positions. If Elizabeth were running I'd be voting for her in a second, because of her positions.

Just deleted Boxer as a possible choice...she's on a bus going to New Hampshire with all the "Woman Card" Senators to push for Killery. Never saw that coming.

Keith is young-ish (50s) which is very important to me. I want the VP to carry on the Sanders Revolution if Bernie should die (sob), or after 8 years of President Sanders.

Keith is energetic, he Shows Up, he's very active in the Fight for 15, he is progressive, he's endorsed Bernie. He is on our side.

And yes, Ellison is Muslim. What better way to show we are NOT the Trump party? We will fight them and give no quarter. Our values are American values. There is NO religious test for public office -- it's in the Constitution.

All those qualities would be a nice counter-balance to Bernie and would help him appeal to various other demographics.

I'll admit I don't know too much about him, but I liked what I saw in the debates. He's young enough to deal with the age factor.

I am gonna bet that there are quite a few that would be good choices. I have to be honest and admit that I am not fully versed with the team roster.
