New Jersey vegan eatery serves up Bernie Sanders themed fare

Let all vegan Bernie fans REJOICE on this day, for we have been #blessed with the new Bernie Sanders Burger. According to CBS Philadelphia, the New Jersey restaurant Wildflower has just dropped the dish in their Millville location. Well, okay, it’s not really a burger, it’s more of a wrap, but customers are apparently thrilled by the meal, which contains red beans as an homage to the color of the socialist party. Woah, Wildflower, you guys really went for it!

Store owner Eric Nyman says, “Bernie seems to be open to considering new things and growing and extending his consciousness. We’re hoping he’ll realize that vegan is a good thing.” We hope so too, as a vegan-ized Bernie would be an excellent addition to his track record of fighting oppression.
Of course, plenty of customers are ordering it “just for the name,” but with the red bean, sweet potato, hummus and avocado combo, it sounds like you can’t go wrong when placing the order.

Bernie has his own ice cream now he has his own vegan burger!
