I have to admit I really enjoyed starting this thread:

http://www.democraticunderground.com/10141358500

I saw a LBN post with this headline pop up, clicked on it and found that the poster had already self-deleted it. I used the "back" key, clicked on the link to the article, and reposted it. I guess the original poster had read the full article and decided it wasn't good press for his/her candidate.

From the article:

“Sanders’ strength over Trump is surprising given that 59% of the self-described Independents in our poll lean Republican,” said Lauren Copeland, political science professor and associate director of the BW-CRI. “However, both Trump and Sanders have populist messages that appeal to an electorate that’s increasingly frustrated with politics as usual in Washington. Additional analyses showed that Sanders draws support from more Independent and Republican voters than Clinton; among these voters, Sanders may be perceived as the lesser of two evils.”

the lesser of two evils if you are comparing him to Trump and Clinton. I personally don't believe Bernie Sanders has an evil bone in his body...as for the other two I'd bet the majority of their bones are.

look to the republicans, e.g., their total opposition to Obama, their starting wars, their not worrying about global warming, etc., etc.

I have never sent money to Hillary and I don't intend to, and I think Bernie is by far the better candidate and has a better chance of saving us all, but Hillary is not evil. (I am sure Bernie would not refer to her as "evil.&quot

Also, we may end up having to support her!

Meanwhile, Go Bernie!!! I am very, very, very glad his message is getting out!

But they'll take Trump over HRH.

And yet Camp WV seem to think it somehow reflects badly on Bernie, that he's proven to be able to attract a broader audience than she.

….with their gut or limbic center or however to describe voting emotionally and not with much information.

They respond to Trump and Bernie in similar ways because both appear to be showing you who they really are. They can't stand the highly groomed, pre-packaged shine that is HRC. They've seen her for 24 years and perceive that she is the ultimate insider politician.

Just have to say—I don't or a minute see Bernie and Trump as both being real. Trump is a demagogue fake.

Love your screen name.

Y'mean that she's fake?

I think most Sanders voters, conservative or liberal or in-between, are voting with their heads and not falling for slogans, celebrity and name recognition.
