I guess female Bernie supporters must be stupid - at least according to this:

http://www.sfchronicle.com/opinion/openforum/article/Why-a-smart-woman-should-vote-for-Hillary-Clinton-6852619.php

Would it be Madeleine Albright’s metaphoric hell for not supporting Clinton? Maybe. So when these women do all they can to wound Clinton (while saying they are feminists), I remind them that it is highly unlikely that America will elect a wild-eyed socialist atheist to the presidency. If you think I’m harsh in this assessment, I’m not alone. The Republican Party, especially the evangelical wing, is praying for a Bernie Sanders candidacy.

....

Don’t the young ’uns know there is no free lunch?

Do they not know that Sanders could do none of what he promises? Don’t they know that socialized health care for all means that half of your check is removed before you ever get it? Don’t they know they’d be taxed to pay for the health care of poor evangelical rednecks they despise? Don’t they know that free college offered to those who didn’t advantage themselves of a free K-12 education will just mean that “college” isn’t really college?

The young socialist revolutionaries are afraid of slow steady change, such as legislation sponsored by a President Hillary Clinton to limit the types of interest rates charged for student loans, which could actually get through a bipartisan Congress. I was once young and wanted everything now, now, now! But I never once talked trash about the women who had gone before me and who supported me in my own federal court battles.

Read it and puke. Plenty of condescension and red-baiting...

Yes I was young once and wanted it now, now, now and I am still waiting for it. As a lifelong liberal I am still waiting for the Democratic party to break the control of the corporatists and progressively move this country forward. The corporatists have rigged the system and use their lackeys the Republicans to control things directly as in gerrymandering to control the House or by obstructing any progressive movement by use of filibusters and propaganda. Just once I would like to see the party as a whole stand up and fight the good fight and not back down. Are we guaranteed to win, no. Will we get everything we want, no. Just stake out your positions a la Bernie and make a stand.

I hear ya. I've been waiting a lifetime too. I can't even remember the last time Dems acted like an opposition party, let alone pushed a progressive agenda. Bernie - the so-called wild eyed socialist - is getting traction because they've asked us to hold our noses way too many times now. I'm tired of the party leadership's lecturing. If you won't put up a progressive candidate, don't yell when an independent with true Democratic values jumps into the fray.

How dare she say this. Corporate America gets freebies every day on our backs. No. We need to turn the tables, get the rich and Corporate America to keep their funds in this country, pay their fair taxes, and stop with the damned loopholes. Once that's cleaned up, we CAN have the healthcare and education programs we so want and need.

for them. For the oligarchs there's free lunch, free breakfast, free dinner, an open bar, and a 24/7 gourmet buffet just in case they feel like a snack between meals.

Does anyone really buy that America's wealthiest and most corrupt corporations are giving Hillary Clinton extremely large amounts of money for little to no return on their investment?

This phrase is starting to take on such a negative tone in my mind. It doesn't mean what they think it means! Maybe they should take a closer look at the opportunity costs of Hillary Clinton's plans since she doesn't want any new or raised taxes.

Hillary's mouthpieces talk down to female Bernie supporters.

Imagine the way she'd act after she got into the White House - not that I think she ever will - if this is how she treats women beforehand.

I even have the old Bill & Hillary campaign buttons upstairs somewhere (from the 90s - I lived in DC at that point). Now she just pisses me off.

And after watching the fruit salad debate last night I can see why she is trying so hard to get rid of Bernie. I am so thankful he is running.

They've seen the same polls we have that show Bernie beating their asses by huge (yooooge) margins. The candidates may be stupid, but the hands behind the curtains certainly aren't.

But what do I know, being a dumb female Bernie supporter?
