Ashley Williams, A Black Lives Matter activist confronted Hillary Clinton during a private event regarding Mass Incarceration, calling black teen "Super Predators" and saying "We have to bring them to heel". Hillary made these comments during campaign stops back in 1996 giving speeches supporting The Crime Act. Hillary has never explained her comments. Hillary is now relying on black voters in the South to never watch YouTube or listen to other black folks tell them how bigoted Hillary Clinton was and continues to be.
Peace.

(2,052 posts)is the large number of people who will never vote for her. These aren't RW attacks. Check some of the profiles of the people. They are largely Democrats invested in this race.
They also claim the media is unfair to her. I'm getting tired of the bullshit. The MSM is trying to get Bernie out this weekend, barely a whisper on the BLM incident, barely anything on the judge's ruling (independent of anything Judicial Watch said)
Difference is Trump has gotten the coverage and the establishment couldn't stop it. If we had that face time, this wouldn't be a race.

(3,795 posts)... she "opposes" these very same things when there is no chance of repealing or preventing them. Also, when she "opposes" certain things she will NOT spend time using her political clout to get others to oppose them.
When she fights for something it seems to always benefit Wall Street and multinational corporations (i.e. making phone calls to Senators to shore up support for free trade deals despite what she campaigns on).

(2,052 posts)WARREN: As Senator Clinton, the pressures are very different. It's a well-financed industry. You know a lot of people don't realize that the industry that gave the most money to Washington over the past few years was not the oil industry, was not pharmaceuticals. It was consumer credit products. Those are the people. The credit card companies have been giving money, and they have influence.
MOYERS: And Mrs. Clinton was one of them as Senator.
WARREN: She has taken money from the groups, and more to the point, she worries about them as a constituency.
MOYERS: But what does this mean though to these people, these millions of people out there whom the politicians cavort in front of as favoring the middle class, and then are beholden to the powerful interests that undermine the middle class? What does this say about politics today?
WARREN: You know this is the scary part about democracy today. It's
We're talking again about the impact of money. The credit industry on this bankruptcy bill has spent tens of millions of dollars lobbying, and as their profits grow, they just throw more into lobbying for how they can get laws that will make it easier and easier and easier to drain money out of the pockets of middle class families.

It's tough when you have preached the same consistent message for 30 years. Almost verbatim.
It's tough when you make difficult votes and can pinpoint the part of the legislation you could not support personally, not because a lobbyist or groups pressured you.

(1,061 posts)One : Elton John - "It seems to me, you live your life like a finger in the wind ..."
Two : Something you posted a while ago but it made an impression -
'One finger, courageously moistened, held aloft, ascertaining the winds ...'

Deny and Shred
(1,061 posts)it was the poetry, not the bombast, that produced that line.
The courage to moisten a finger is about as much courage as she has; furthermore, the rest of her zietgeist is focused grouped.
I found that line, and still find it, a brilliant bit of analysis.
