Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumJust need to thank this group for being a light of sanity and hope in a sea of DNC despair.
The indoctrinated DNC on here and elsewhere online are sucking the life out of me. Trying to hold Clinton accountable for anything she's done or supported in the last 35 years equals insulting a demigod to them, they go into immediate attack mode. I've been censored. I've been verbally abused. My Democratic loyalties are called into question. I've been called rude for posting civil dissent. It's walk in lockstep with them or STFU.
Anyway.
Deep breathe.
I'm glad you folks are here. You are my tribe.

I'm sorry I wasn't good about getting you updates during the season last season... I'll try to do better this year. FYI, the one plant that looked stunted in shipping (I forget which variety it was... Sun Gold I think but not sure) stayed that way for quite a while (neither getting better nor worse while its "siblings" grew steadily) and then one day it was like it just suddenly decided to "wake up" and start growing like crazy and catch up :-D

Update: the alert was an epic, 0-7 fail.
Explanation: Why alert this?
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No, seriously:
Juror #3 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: This is a disingenuous alert at the minimum, a totally dishonest alert at the maximum. I happen to agree with NRaleighLiberal: Fire DWS.
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Ridiculous alert. DWS is not the embodiment of the Democratic Party - or at least, she shouldn't be thought of as such, though some apparently do. Firing DWS is probably the best thing that could happen to the DNC.
Juror #5 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Please.Poster is addressing primary votes not GE.
Hillary supporters need to stop trolling the Bernie group and vice versa.
Juror #6 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given

(2,412 posts)I got one too. I basically wrote in all my own comments, blasting from the Left on all the little crumbs they were offering.
I told them I was voting for Bernie and that I would not give them any money because they might spend it on warmonger
congress members. I told them no more wars. I told them they shouldn't be supporting only one presidential candidate. They paid for the postage.

(22,000 posts)Which is really strange. Other than the Sanders campaign no one has my number. It is a Skype phone number that rings on my computer here in South Korea.
In the call they mentioned Pelosi and I told the guy I was sick of the shit she and DWS were pulling and that I supported Sanders. Then I told him to take me off their list.

I've been a member of this forum practically ever since it was started back in January 2001. Until last year, my Ignore list never had more than 2 or 3 people in it, and they would often end up getting the boot by MIRT or whoever. But the constant taunts, lies, insults, swarm attacks and passive-aggressive nonsense from "Sir Taunts-a-lot", "Lady Not-good-enough-bernie" and other members of Team Weathervane/Slytherin have made me realize that there is nothing to be gained by engaging with these people.
intheflow
(28,476 posts)I'd rather just ignore their posts. And after 12 years on here I'm pretty good at avoiding content I don't want to engage with. But I seem to be having problems with discernment of the loonies on other sites. They seemed normal when I started to engage with them, before primary season.

(27,247 posts)But the ones who post videos or other material that takes up a lot of bandwidth slow down my computer, which is seriously out of date, and the videos also consume a lot of battery power. So the most obnoxious ones, the ones who are as bad as harpies when it comes to trashing Bernie, get the official boot, and voila! pages load faster, my battery lasts longer, and I don't have to waste time scrolling down post after post of Bernie bashers high-fiving each other.

(46,436 posts)I feel that way, too. And honestly I don't know what I'm going to do if Hill ends up being the nominee. In Alaska my vote isn't going to make much difference anyway, so I could withhold or vote Green or write Bernie in. Or I could just bite it and vote for her even though I don't like her at all. Even if she entirely adopted Bernie's platform during the campaign, I wouldn't trust her to follow through. What to do?

I will write in Bernie if she is nominated. But I could not live with myself to vote for Hillary Clinton while sober or not sedated.

(28,476 posts)The DNC are bullies. Clinton idolizes a war criminal. She sat on the Board of the single corporation that's responsible for the death of local businesses in America. She has the balls to say America has always been great the very same week she has a BLM activist removed from one of her events - that the activist paid to get into! How can anyone think this woman represents the best the Democratic party has to offer??

(28,476 posts)Been voting in presidential elections since 1984. I've lost track of how many times I've marched on Washington and with local justice movements throughout the country. I've never seen the vitriol from people purporting to be the left toward me. I am always civil, and have been rewarded in the past for my civility, but this year, it's like 90% of the DNC has thrown in with war criminals and corporate interests unto not even being able to debate policy within the party. I understand the long haul, but I also understand the value of allies in the struggle. That's what my opening post was about.

(5,281 posts)each and every contribution that you all make to this board. I mostly just recommend and kick items because I get overwhelmed at the futility of dealing with the onslaught of people who have no grace or logic and just want to dance with the devil instead of work towards a better world. But I do believe that your efforts help give hope and keep many, many people sane. So thank you to members of this group who keep fighting the good fight in the face of all the adversity--you do more good than you know.
