Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumWell played, DWS, well played.
As much as I can't stand her, I think she does deserve credit for something.
I completely hadn't considered it, until it was pointed out earlier today (by AtomicKitten). And that is...
The state primary schedule.
DWS did a fantastic job of determining what states to put up early. To trip Bernie up, take the wind out of our sails, and cool our momentum.
A quick look at the 2008 schedule would show a very different race right now:

So, DWS, touche.
You've put up a great first half. However, it is only halftime. And the second half WILL BE OURS.

(14,459 posts)I stayed clear of the primary fight in 2008 after Edward dropped out, but I would have gotten to vote already this time on that schedule.
It does seem Team Hill planned very well for a fast and early stacked primary to force whoever was still in out early. This could be deadly if it is as slanted as it looks, because now it's a slog for the home team to the end.

(41,600 posts)It's hard to believe I use to like her! And Hill and Bill...now? Not so much.
She knew the people of this country would LOVE Bernie and they do! Time's up, Deb.

(55,981 posts)and acquiesce. That's what they do so why don't we. The truth is that we have a lot of people in this country that are suffering and if we elect another from the Ruling Class (Clinton), more will suffer as Goldman-Sach's profits go up and up.
This is a class war and Clinton/Goldman-Sachs is on the 1% side.

(5,400 posts)When the wind is out of the establishment's sails, everything will have to be reconsidered.
They've got the big guns of the PACs, we've got the numbers of individual donors.
Broadside to broadside, they could win. But now, in these new waters, and with the change in the wind, the nimbleness of the Sanders campaign can have the edge.
Ha, I knew I was referencing Five to One (they got the guns, but we got the numbers), and then I saw how Horse Latitudes pertains as well. And I can't help mentioning that the Doors drummer, John Densmore, is a serious supporter of Sanders.
When the still sea conspires an armor
And her sullen and aborted
Currents breed tiny monsters,
True sailing is dead.
Awkward instant
And the first animal is jettisoned,
Legs furiously pumping
Their stiff green gallop,
And heads bob up
Poise
Delicate
Pause
Consent
In mute nostril agony
Carefully refined
And sealed over.
