1. Legitimacy

This seems to be a response to Sanders' campaign looking like a real threat. For so much of the campaign the narrative of Hillary as the presumptive nominee prevailed. Now that Sanders is a more obvious contender, the mainstream can't just ignore him away so they have begun attacking him with inane and vapid critiques.
