But we had the rich buying our elections before Citizens United. What we need is public funding of elections. Get money completely out of elections.

How could anyone disagree with this post? How could anyone say we shouldn't do all we can to correct this rigged system?

Some insist the free market is self-correcting, if free enterprise is just allowed to operate unhindered without undue regulation and interference by the government. This used to be exclusively Republican ideology. Although some are reluctant to admit it, this ideology has been adopted by corporatist Democrats. I am reluctant to admit these Democrats are actually Democrats at all.

...ON THE RECORD! if they support a constitutional amendment to overturn Citizens United. Those who don't answer affirmatively are the enemy. Those who do, we can work with.

It is a feature.

Thanks to millions of corporate lobbyists, attorneys, investors and self serving politicians whose oaths to Constitutions are as hallow as their souls.

Maybe that is a tad harsh. We aren't where we are overnight, and it wasn't thanks to one generation, it has been the planets biggest crowdfund with each generation adding its own little pieces to the legislative puzzle and labyrinth our corporate and banking laws and oversight have become. Up to the crowning moment that the corporations have become "We the people".

It is all thanks to those who have eyes only for dollar signs. They have turned what could have been a healthy democracy that functions not just for Americans, but spreads democracy and fairness across the globe for all people into a personal ATM only for themselves and only for perhaps another generation.

All it took was the industrial revolution and a few generations of affluenza riddled racists and well meaning simpletons to make a beautiful world into a cesspool. Really pretty amazing when you think about it. You know they didn't back then, the world was endless.

Unlike Daniel Boone, they never lived long enough to see the fruits of their labors. To see just how the trails they blazed, led to the destruction of what brought them, and all of us, the most happiness.

I have a hard time blaming those who didn't know any better. Just as I do today.

Ignorance is indeed bliss.

Yup, we have the means to bring about fairness, we just need to elect the people who will use them.
