Please please please don't engage those Clinton supporters who post about the "corporate whore" comment. Ignoring them at this point is the best defense so that we can discuss more important issues.

(872 posts)referred to Dems in general as corporate whores, as I heard it. He didn't mention her Excellency. In the interests of peace, I will not write my opinion as to whether that term applies to her of not. Okay, it does. But I prefer the term corporate prostitute, as it is gender neutral.

(9,933 posts)To combat republican's who do all they can for corporations and are quite blatant about it, far too many have decided the only way win is join republican's in seeking corporate donations. Bernie's campaign, if nothing else, shows they do not have to sell out in order to win. Or at least it's an attempt to do so. Its sad really.
So the kerfuffle is over the word whore then? Would sell out have gone over better?

(91 posts)I agree with the original post. Even if there is some truth to the phrase, I think it is an unfortunate misuse of rhetoric that is not helpful. It is morphing into a Bad Meme. Ignoring it and stifling it is probably the best idea.
