Bernie Sanders
Related: About this forumLet's talk about the New York Primary - I'm sure you realize what a big deal this is.
If Bernie wins, or even comes within a few points, his momentum becomes undeniable. He can hold his head up high and move on as his chances of winning the nom become that much better as he will have earned the right to go to the convention.
Super delegates will start to take notice.
Not only that, we will have earned the right to email blast the MSM and tell them to stop attacking and dismissing Bernie because he just may become our nominee; that they are giving the GOP talking points.
(Pretty much the same thing we have been told by her campaign concerning Bernie)
If Bernie loses, esp by double digits, the revolution will still continue but our hopes & dreams for Bernie winning the nomination will be decimated. We will watch Hillary prance around with her crown. #math will become reality.
We have come so far, much further than many of us have ever dreamt, including Bernie.
When Bernie threw his hat in the ring all anyone ever said was it was good because he will pull Hillary to the left. Well that didn't happen but what did happen was millions & millions of people joined his campaign.
Knowing how important this primary is, what are you going to do today to help Bernie? Make a few phone calls? donate a few bucks?
Are you going to be sitting here Wed morning thinking - damn! I should have made a few calls. Or are you going to be sitting here Wed morning celebrating his win and thinking about that one voter you talked to that had questions about Bernie that you were able to answer.
Please do what you can - even if it's a $3 donation or 1/2 hr of making calls.
And just a reminder, arguing with Hill supporters in GDP isn't going to change anyone's mind. And it's definitely not helping Bernie.
Please check in and share your Bernie-Activism with the rest of us so we can celebrate each other.

(17,064 posts)What is important to realize is that even if he doesn't get enough delegates to gain the nomination, the delegates do more than just select a candidate. They also vote on the party platform and rules. Sanders can lose every single primary from NY to the convention, yet still have a huge block of delegates who can greatly influence the party for the next 4 years.

(17,064 posts)Clinton built her delegate lead in the Deep South, which will certainly vote Red in the GE. Sanders leads in delegates from the other states, a strong argument in his favor.
