With half the voting population (I think more :)

for Bernie and the other half voting for Hillary I'm seeing something at play here.

The middle class used to be strong and vibrant but through time we've seen and felt it's decline.

Seems to me we're at the point where 1/2 the country is really feeling it and identifying with Bernie, obviously I do.

Then there's the other 1/2 that are still clinging, doing what they can to maintain the status quo.

I can't help but wonder if we're playing Martin Niemöller's "First they came...".

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

I'm afraid but prepared to believe we're not getting out of this unless until we all feel the same pain as those that have been affected by the 30+ year old polices still in place, and getting worse.

People want to stay oblivious to horrible things NOT AFFECTING THEM on purpose.
It's supported by the chanting of the "don't worry be happy" posts on FB and being hawked as self help merchandise everywhere.

I hope and pray (and I'm not religious) that Bernie gets the nomination and that honest, intelligent level heads prevail.

But mostly, we must all speak out vigilantly and report injustice, otherwise......well I don't want to think about otherwise.

Let's make it happen Bernista's, Bernie Bro's, whatever fucking childish names they want to call us! It's time to fight tooth and nail. None of this "if they'd only be nicer to her I'd be...." because we know that won't play the other way around. They've shoved her in our face since the beginning and it's time to end it. Stay strong and ignore their bait cause we need each and every voice.

Solidarity my friends!

I see the main problem as; by the time that enough of the barely hanging on'ers are effected bad enough to take action, the opportunity to take action will have passed.

Grinding us up very gradually was a feature not due to an obstruction.

education system was part of the plan however. I remember as a child in the Philippines (I lived off base), late 60's early 70's that school was awesome and fun. Kids were engaged and completely participating. Kids payed attention and it was easy, it was fucking great.

Then we moved permanently to the states and school was waaaaaaay different. Lost interest pretty quickly. Paying attention was really hard. It got sterilized.

failing education could most certainly be a feature of the "slow grind".
