at one of the Bridge School Benefit concerts (Neil Young annual benefit). 23,000 people joined him in singing too.

a college friend for lunch. When leaving, I noticed the nicest voice somewhere, looked and saw Tony Bennett on a staircase singing 'I Left My Heart in San Fran.' Some years later I had the opportunity to visit and see the sites of the great city on the Pacific.

so many can enjoy his talent. A close musician friend is a huge fan of Tony and other prominent singers of the same era. We saw Sinatra once too, that was awesome.

I felt lucky to see Tony and he still has such a good voice.

But Sinatra would be pretty amazing.

mainly in my mid teens was a Beatlemaniac - I did still appreciate the "standards" - Cole Porter, Rodgers & Hammerstein, et al. I also liked some Sinatra songs, e.g., Summer Wind.

These days IMO they oversing everything and torture every single note to death. It oughtta be a crime to kill a song.
