I campaigned for Bobby Kennedy...

Real change for the better was in the air. It was electric. And if Bobby wasn't the candidate, there was George McGovern "I'm fed up to the ears with old men dreaming up wars for young men to die in.” to support.

Both men were exceptional; and we ended up with Nixon.

I have not been as excited and hopeful for a candidate since then, until Bernie Sanders.

And now, look at who is leading in the polls...the Pro-Wall Street, Pro-War Candidate.

I'm getting older, and this may very well be my last vote in the GE. Count me as one of the Independents who simply can't bring myself to vote for Hillary Clinton.

The first political rally I ever went to was one for George McGovern... when I was 14 years old. Things have been so grim since then.

2. Hey, you are the second DU-er I've encountered with an RFK connection.

The other one worked on RFK's campaign. I have met him in real life, and it was an honor to shake the hand that shook Bobby's! Maybe he will tell his story here. I'll poke him.

My best friend and I broke through some yellow tape to do that. Later; we were stopped by Secret Service, a few feet away from his hotel room. We had actually managed to get that close.

And this was the weekend that Martin Luther King was assassinated. I will remember it always.

My first vote went to Carter & I can honestly say this is the first time in all these years that I am truly excited about a Presidential Candidate. I've been waiting for a candidate like Bernie my whole life.

C'Mon New Yorkers! So much is riding on Tuesday.

Glad you joined us in our little corner of the internet

5. We NEED Bernie right now.

He's really about fixing this country. It's not just a vanity pursuit like it is for Hillary. As if her record was not bad enough, the way she runs her campaigns ensures that I will never vote for her. If she manages to make it into the GE and loses, it will be on Hillary supporters for shoving a moderate Republican at us who independents will not vote for.

Change is coming. Whether it happens now with Bernie or later with someone else, perhaps after Hillary is impeached due to being indicted, and Hillary and her supporters will come to find that they were on the wrong side of history and stood in the way of progress and equality, and did it in the nastiest way possible.

I will never forget the hope and the promise of RFK as our president.
When he was assassinate, it deviated the course of history for the entire world.
Can you even image where we would all be if he had been our president?

This chance will not come again in my lifetime... and maybe never again.

That is how important this election is.
It is a pivotal point in history that will determine the fate of all life on this planet.

Yes, it really is that big a deal.

Vote like life it self depended on it.

My first wife and I both put our lives on hold to work on Bobby's campaign.

I set up his phone bank in Portland. He made a point of looking me up and
thanking me for my work, and shook my hand looking into my eyes with his
own sky blues. It was a moment to remember.

His campaign decided to fly us to LA to continue our work until the CA primary.
His win in CA pretty much clinched his nomination, which was widely understood.
Major change was afoot with his candidacy. His loss has cost the country
immeasurably ever since.

I was thinking yesterday that your story would inspire the kids that are working for Bernie in our town. I'm going to the campaign office in Sellwood tomorrow to deliver a batch of cookies. I'll check the place out and see how many people hang out there.
