After an independent investigation into the data breach before the Iowa caucuses concluded that the Sanders campaign told the truth, Bernie Sanders has withdrawn his lawsuit against the DNC.
In a statement, the Sanders campaign said:
An independent investigation of the firewall failures in the DNCs shared voter file database has definitively confirmed that the original claims by the DNC and the Clinton campaign were wholly inaccurate the Sanders campaign never stole any voter file data; the Sanders campaign never exported any unauthorized voter file data; and the Sanders campaign certainly never had access to the Clinton campaigns strategic road map.

(32,324 posts)So much is going on to make the Righteous have their day and regain their democracy that today is a great day for celebrating.
From the fact that Bernie is hiring workers left and right here in California, to the fact that the US Congress' truly liberal leaders are devoting time to addressing voter suppression to the word getting out that this is going to happen - not just for Bernie - but for everyone the neo cons have hurt - it is all really really SWEET!

(1,217 posts)Who wants to wager how many talking heads will recant their wild accusations and trashing of Bernie? Somehow, I don't expect to hear a peep from the DNC or Camp Weathervane.....
I can't wait to hear an explanation of how so many Sanders voter registrations were/are being flipped as a result of the DNC's SHARED VOTER FILE DATABASE.

I hope it's on GD-P and that our Twitter/FB warriors will scatter it far and wide and try to get it out onto the MSM.
It's nice of Bernie to drop the lawsuit but we still don't know if Hill's campaign stole our data. Too many Bernie supporters started getting Hill campaign emails afterward.

(20,958 posts)...unless this is the campaign's core message all weekend, and then all through the Sunday shows, no one is going to be aware of this game-changing piece of info. it will be become a footnote.
but it's so important, especially b/c the way the backdoor opened, it's just as likely that Clinton staff pilfered Sanders' database. the whole episode reeks.

(2,065 posts)I'm confused. The post quotes the Sanders' team's interpretation of the analysis in a way that validates the Sanders' claims, but the linked PolitcsUSA article quotes the DNC's Communication Director as saying that the independent analysis validates the DNC's claims.
So both sides are understandably interpreting the findings to support their positions, but in the absence of the actual analysis, it's hard to know what's really going on. I know whose version I'd tend to trust, but it'd be nice to see the actual report of the independent investigation. Can anyone find that link? Thanks in advance.
