The Empire is striking back, and it's ugly.

Revised delegate count: 1693/1662, vs 1245/1149 for the preliminary count at 9:30. Even if you believe these latest delegate numbers - and I do not - they still adopted rules before over 1000 delegates were counted.

Nevada Dem convention devolves into chaos

Tensions were high at the Democratic convention in Nevada Saturday, with Bernie Sanders supporters demanding delegate recounts, booing Sen. Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.) and causing other disruptions, according to local media reports.

Sanders supporters were angry over a voice vote that adopted a set of temporary convention rules as the permanent rules, according to the Las Vegas Sun.

And supporters also reacted angrily to the count of delegates attending the convention, which put Clinton at an advantage.
Boxer, a Hillary Clinton supporter, said among booing from the crowd “the future of the country is at stake. When you boo me, you’re booing Bernie Sanders. Go ahead. You’re booing Bernie Sanders.”

but I'm going to be productive with that anger. I just moved to San Jose, CA. and in one hour I am joining a local Bernie group to figure out what we can do to help Bernie in our area.

I am afraid that this same kind of shit can happen here in SJ and California. I'm going to ask if they have people who will be watching the elections and raising questions for any issues that arise.

5. yes, but I even though I registered a week and a half ago, when I check

it online, it says "yes, you're registered" but they won't say which party. I registered as "No party preference" and in California that's fine to vote in the Dem primary. I just want to be POSITIVE that they don't have me as anything else. I guess Democrat would be fine, for now, but nothing else. I should call them on Monday.

Same for my daughter.

11. yes, that's the one I used and then you have to click on your county

which I did. However in Santa Clara county, they only shows "You are Registered to Vote
You are registered to vote in Santa Clara County. " - not the actual party (or non party) to which you're registered. It's weird.

12. Then you were correct: you have to call. Even then, there's no guaranty your

registration will not be flipped. I wonder if you call, if you can ask the clerk to whom you speak to confirm by email. Then, print out the email and take it to the polls with you, just in case. (As you may be able to guess, I am a "belt and suspenders" type.)

that's why I was saying that I should call. I don't trust ANYONE anymore when it comes to voting. Next time I will do a vote by mail, I think.

15. That has its own hassles. I knew a solid Democrat in Boston whose husband was

terminal in a nursing home. She should have been able to submit one doctor's opinion that his condition would not improve and have ballots mailed to him automatically before every election. However, City Hall hassled her so much every time that she gave up.

21. I saw a video of David Koch, when he was much younger, saying low turnout was good for his kind.

Massachusetts, which for a good while has had over 90% Democrats in the state legislature, just finally gave us more than one day to vote. Hell Florida had several days years before we did and I had to sit here and read how anti-democratic Florida was because it did not give enough voting days and people had to stand on line! I stood on line for four hours in pouring rain to vote for Kerry.* I am so over posts that pretend Republicans are our only problem.

*On the bright side, I met my state rep that way. On the down side, he was sent to federal prison for corruption not long after that. Nice guy to chat with on line, though!
