I posted this in search of advice and in less than 24 hours I got all the advice I needed to find the clear path:

I have gotten helpful advice from thread responders, PMs and telephone calls today and the right decision for me is to go with We Want Bernie, a grassroots national organization providing all the resources I need except for money. And most of us will be giving and raising money.

So now I am trying to get a meetup started in three towns fairly close to me: Wichita, Topeka and Eudora, Kansas (my hometown is already covered). So if you know any Berners in those towns, please PM me.
