This place is really getting weird. (Original Post) Hiraeth May 2016 OP
It definitely is, as HRC slides in the polls. The cause rests on HRC, not Bernie. n/t RKP5637 May 2016 #1

posts that were pro-Sanders. It was really weird and the only reason I caught on was that people would quote other people, but when you went to look for the original post, it wasn't there. It's a crazy primary and I don't put anything past anyone anymore. I used to have a lot more faith in the system, but this election has really opened my eyes. It wasn't this site, I just want to reiterate that, it's a news aggregator type site so they don't have forums but 'comment sections' for the different stories and it's just brutal.

I have to say that the disruption posts are working spectacularly because I know I've been feeling discouraged from even engaging in any sort of political discussion online, here or anyplace else, because of the sheer lack of any good faith or even honesty in the discourse, it's all about proving a point or twisting what you said to mean something else.

I know you said that you figured out why your posts looked wonky, I just wanted to let you know that your initial theory wasn't crazy, with all the gaslighting that is going on it's sometimes hard to tell.

27. 1968 was very different though. There was a Democratic Party convention
Mon May 23, 2016, 01:30 PM
May 2016

that had multiple nominees. The presumptive winner was killed. (That is different right there). The big shots of the convention did not like any of the nominees who had won primaries and instead chose someone who did not win any primaries (Humphrey). So they selected someone who the people really did not like to run for president. (See we know that the Democratic Party would never select someone that the actual voters disliked.)

So there is all the different in the world between the 2 conventions.

but where I was, nearly everyone I knew (that is, their parents) were for Bobby Kennedy when school let out for summer vacation in May 1968. A week later and Bobby was gone. When the new school year started 3 months later, nearly all of those Bobby supporters had become Wallace supporters. And even the Humphrey supporters (what few there were) showed only lukewarm support for the guy.

It's important. Always laugh. Sarcastic, snaky laughter is still laughter. Don't waste yourself getting angry at the knuckleheads. Get angry at what they're running interference for, but don't give them anything other than a chuckle.

...to be democrats(in theory). But yet they attack people opposed to them in the same manner repukes attack other people.

I know this much: they (those who call people names and have an alert for a post in other threads) are not democrats.

I've been on a jury more times this month (and last month) than I have all of last year. And they are all Hills small minded minions hitting the panic button. They must be suffering from a strange paranoid disease of some kind.

I would try to come up with other theories, but I'll let someone else take a shot at it.
