PERIES: It has been transformative for many people. As you said, especially young people who're all looking for some way to resolve this at this moment, and I know you would argue that we are building a long-term movement, but some people want some resolutions, particularly when it comes to how the Democratic Party leadership is suppressing their opinion and their vote at the primaries.

COHEN: Well, the hostility is warranted. The Democratic Party elite has earned it. I believe that we need to keep it in mind that a political revolution does not happen in a year. You know, and as that hashtag says, not me, us. This movement is going to continue no matter what happens at the Philadelphia Democratic Convention, no matter what happens in November, and it's important for us to keep our independent movements, our independent groups, truly independent of the Democratic Party leadership.

1. I see Bernie as the forerunner of a move back to the Left...regardless of

this election or his role thereafter. He has a calling which is stronger than any elected position. He's not going away, regardless. The genie is out of the bottle.

2. I agree. The corporate-oligarchy has taken control of our Party and has been

holding down progressives for decades. It's time to fight back and start by rejecting the corrupt culture that is represented by Clinton, DWS and Goldman-Sachs.

The People's Movement is growing much to the chagrin of the corporatist minions.

3. And ironicaly what may make the difference this time is an element

never before used...social media. It has done at least as much or more to shape our socio-political world than the internet did when it went public. Even earlier, I remember the first televised debates and they said at the time, that the element of vision via the TV helped elect JFK.

It cannot be controlled. It can only be criticized and mocked, but not controlled.

4. The biggest threat to tyranny today is the internet and the freedom it brings. Better believe that

those that want to control us are working on getting it under their control.

5. Too little, too late. It is into the social fiber like a permanent dye.

It would damage the economy, politics, government. So even if they could, they wouldn't. It will be interesting to see attempts to thwart it or work around it (to coin a phrase) , however.

7. No great power of any kind steps aside or monitors itself.

It involves polarization/demonization/a powerful dyad of some kind. Something to keep the Peasantry busy and divided, while the PTB continue their well laid plans.

Every now and again I get some hope that at least there is a small kink in the works. I think Bernie's role may be that. But I'm not naive enough to think there are enough of the unawake being awakened. The chasm just gets too large.

I think the fact, that seems to amaze many, that the two most unappealing candidates as per trusworthiness and likeability are the leading candidates for president, perhaps speaks to the above. They are being "foisted" on us by the MSM, the PTB the political establishment, et al. Both charicatures of a subset/party to keep us ...Looky over there !!!

8. The Oligarchy knew they would have a hard sell with Clinton so they helped get

Trump nominated so people would feel compelled to vote for Clinton. This isn't democracy.

9. Now that's an interesting situation. They are crafty and a step or two

ahead of even the most aware of us. Trump, wild card that he is, would not be complicit...just expendable, thus HRC wins. That's unsettling.
