It's like a train wreck. I can't stop looking. It really is too bad that the new system was delayed. Hillary supporters have gotten worse by a magnitude in the last couple of days. The fact that they are not concerned at all about the validity of the election results is an awful revelation. It is sad to see the place melt away. It's sad to see what has happened to this country. I never thought I would see a future Dem president join hands with * and his brother. People here are good with that. A hand out to take money from Rethugs does not even get a notice! This is crazy town on steroids!

Really.

One of the Hillary supporters actually told me that this just proves what a smart campaigner she is, compared to Sanders.

corruption of the corporate-media, and the power of the Oligarchy. Now we see some "Democrats" embracing those very things and why? Seems to me that Authoritarian Adulation takes precedence over helping those among us that are struggling. It's not the issues because deep down they agree with the Progressives on the issues. I have asked time and again to explain on which issues championed by the Left do they disagree with. Never a response. How sad that they put support of big corporations ahead of helping the 16 million children living in poverty.

I don't know why nor how I am still able to be shocked by what I read here, but I am.

That brings to mind an early, long-tombstoned poster: NSMA. I wonder if she still can't be shocked.

I received my first hide today because I dared bring up things Hillary said about Obama in 08. Apparently, that is now considered rude and offensive. I have noticed there are a select few Hillary supporters here that are going out of their way to make DU a tense and vile place.

So smart and experienced in life experiences. I miss him.

Even tho I picked libodem for my screen name, it should have been progressivedem. I think Jackpine was of a progressive bent, too. I think he might have been dismayed at the conservative tide, of Hillary supporters. There is an authoritarian streak in those sisters and they are something to tangle with.

And I'm a "sister"...serious feminist since the early '70's. But I took the equality thing seriously. Can't vote for a woman because she's a woman. She has to share my very progressive views.

Too bad Gloria hasn't kept pace with the changes. I remember buying the first Ms. Magazine!

what I fought for.

I stood up for gender equality, to treat men and women equally.

Back in the 70s I thought we made progress. Now I realize we still have a long way to go.

Obama was the first black President because he was the best man for the job, who just happened to be black.
I don't recall him ever campaigning on being the first black President, do you?

He never did that. He was--and is--a very honorable man. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to say that about Clinton...our presumptive first woman president.
