We were driving home from the Central Coast yesterday

when all of a sudden this guy drives up to us in the next lane, honks at us and begins gesticulating wildly and giving us the thumbs-up sign. At first I couldn't understand what he was "saying" when my husband says, "It's your Bernie bumper sticker." It made me smile.

He may have driven 25 miles out of his way, just to show he was "feeling the Bern".

Terrific!

Instead of a thumbs up or an ok, something distinctive. Just a way to acknowledge you're feelin' the Bern.

This can help to prevent accidents caused by wild gesticulating, prevent fights because you think someone is flipping you off, and gives you a feeling of belonging to a family of underdogs and misfits--the fighters, the lovers, the righteous--reviled and hated by neoliberals and rwnjs alike. A club you can be proud to belong to!

Just to brainstorm on the idea, I think a one-handed symbol would be best. Two hands would lead to unsafe driving. It must be distinctive enough to recognize at a glance. It must be simple enough that everyone can sign. And you must look cool while doing it.

Here are my suggestions but all suggestions are welcome:

One handed sign for fire (moving up and down or not) basically one wiggly hand

Any help would be appreciated because I will need to perfect my sign. In just your story Le Taz, just think about if you could have seen instantly that he was feeling the Bern, it would have been great.

big paper hands like they use at sporting events that say Bernie or something on them. You could keep it next to you and just hold it up to the window............
