First shift of petition to get Bernie on Virginia ballot

Two hours, blistering heat, but we got 57 signatures! And suprisingly we got voters in 7 out of Virginia's 11 districts!

Not too shabby for the first effort, but I need to print out a bunch more of those forms for the next event...

Is there an impediment? Is this the usual method of getting candidates on the ballot, by gathering signatures? I'm fascinated by this stuff.

Elections. These must have at least 400 from each of our 11 districts. They need to be turned in and confirmed by December, we are shooting to have them in hand for Bernie by October.

I couldn't tell if Bernie was being asked to jump through "special" hoops. This clears it up.

By getting this hurdle cleared

I'm hoping folks in other states are also looking into what needs to be done there and are helping out as well!

George Mason University - certain that's on your list.

He's working part time on highway construction.

Thanks for your hard work!
