WA State Dems trying to assess support for Sanders

They waited until the last day before the event to send the following--

Vermont Senator and Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is making a stop in Seattle tomorrow for an afternoon Social Security event and an evening campaign rally at the Alaska Airlines Arena!

Bernie Sanders is a progressive champion, fighting for nearly three decades in Congress on behalf of Democratic values like equal pay, economic justice and environmental protection. We’re excited to welcome him to Seattle tomorrow – will you join us?

Why this is important--superdelegates. The WA State Dems lined up behind Clinton in 2007 at this point in the cycle, even sponsoring a speech in October. They are doing the same this year, but no speech so far. Superdelegates uniformly supported Clinton then, but slowly moved to support Obama as he pulled ahead. If the party finds out that a similar move toward Sanders is occurring, they will follow along.

So, if you live in WA State, please spread the word on this.

They should be ashamed.

I mean, wtf? These people are supposed to be the leaders of the politically active Dem party in their constituencies? Waiting 'till the last day is the opposite of promotion.

Here's the equation: big money can afford to employ full time people, year round, to do their bidding. These people do find their way into political party insider roles. That's a no-brainer. Because they can do this 24/7, 52 weeks a year, with time outs for escapades where they can be more fully indoctrinated and pleasured at the same time, they have a strong hold on "the system".

So that's what you have with Hillary Rodham Clinton in charge of billions of $, and in charge of the Democratic party.

in the national arena. But we wouldn't want anyone to think this is a concerted effort by the state parties, acting on orders from on high in support of a specific candidate even before the first votes are case, because that would be wrong.

sent via email on Aug. 2, announced and included details for Bernie's two events in Seattle. I guess the state organization gets the drift of things around these parts.

most of them went along with what the people wanted. Hopefully that will happen again this year. I want to determine the candidate I will vote for in the GE.

I am glad Bernie is already working on this.
