or am I misunderstanding? If they want Bernie to do more, why not approach him for a meeting with suggestions? or have they already don'e that?
and I say this being lily white and have always been advantaged. Still don't we want both Black lives to matter and to be able to get the benefits they deserve?
But then again, I am not an organizer and can be completely off the mark.
I am more a participant of rallies and protests.

2. They want to talk about their issue to the exclusion of all others

Counterproductive, but I guess they felt that they got what they wanted the last time so why stop.

Unfortunately for them HRC is the last person running on the D side who would possibly do anything to help. She has already shown that she is happy to pander to the haters when it comes to welfare. But people see what they want to see, or are paid to see.

and Bernie really was not early on the topic, still< i am a big picture person and even though I don't agree with everything, I do agree on many and that is what I look for, but , as I said, I don't expect to get shot in the street or needlessly arrested anytime soon, so that colors my thinking.

5. What is frustrating is that HRC is not being held to the same standard

I guess that's what building an image over 20 years will do for you, regardless of actual actions or beliefs.

I think if they keep it up it will backfire.

Perhaps if people want something to change they should take it up with the POTUS and the AG, who actually have the power now.

4. I watched most of the event inluding several scheduled guests who spoke on

the topic, SS and Medicare before the disrupt. They were excellent, one was Seattle City Councilwoman Kshama Sawant. A poster here in BSG or in the LBN OP Seattle Times article, said there was a local BLM rep. man who spoke officially earlier in the program.

Bernie is clearly being targeted. In early June I saw him speak at a DC area progressive Public Policy Forum on Rebooting the American Dream and it was terrific, not a campaign rally.
