CNN brought up that Jeffrey De Laurentis the Ambassador may not get confirmed because of opposition to the re-establishment of relations.
Isn't it wonderful how an extremely positive historic event has to be subtly brought down a notch by a fox wanta be network.

Edit: My point being he's being factual about Eisenhower's move to close the embassy at a time of crisis.

I think I might have organized the speech chronologically. Actually, I would not have re-hashed the negative history that led up to the closing of the embassy at all. I would have used the occasion to give an entirely different kind of speech.
