I saw some asshat the other day use this as a reason why bernie ought never be allowed to lead....I didnt understand it then and I don't understand it now.

on a commercial airline - he'll be on AF1 (at taxpayers' expense) just like every other president before him, and with good reason. I think it's great that as a Senator he hasn't been swanning about the country in a Gulfstream, but at some point he might have to charter just to get from one place to another for campaign events. Those flights, of course, would have to be paid for by campaign funds and not taxpayers.
