What would be your top 5-10 issues for progressives to run on in Statehouse Races

Please name 5-10 state issues you would like to see progressive Democrats run on in a Statehouse election. If you would like to see new laws, or more $$ for certain programs, new programs or practices, name them here.

I'm in California so mine would probably be (not necessarily in any particular order):

Ban fracking
Legalize cannabis
Raise the state minimum wage to $15.00 beginning IMMEDIATELY
Repeal Prop 13 for businesses
Fully fund high-speed rail

1) Automatic Voter Registration, like in Oregon.
http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/govbeat/wp/2015/03/17/its-official-new-oregon-law-will-automatically-register-people-to-vote/

2) Banning electronic voting machines,

3) Legalizing marijuana

4) Push-back/repeal any Koch Bros sponsored state legislation. Examples include legislation that allows energy companies to avoid fines for polluting, that push privatization of public education, and that prevent states and localities from regulating the rogue behavior of financial institutions.

5) Mandatory GMO labeling of food.

Tougher gun laws, close the gun show loophole, I'm not asking for repeal of the 2nd amendment but for the love of God and all things holy close the fucking gun show loophole.

Reverse restrictive voting Id laws

Fight for the right for women to have a safe and affordable abortion on demand. Abolish the nonsensical laws aimed at punishing women for having sex

Accept mcaid expansion, ya dopey loons. People need healthcare.

Put money into mental health treatment. Another young black male died in jail after 4 months of no one in authority giving a shit about him. He was sick, he stole candy and sodapop, he needed his meds, he should have gone to a hospital, not starve to death in a jail.

8: Accept the ACA in full.
9: Expand the Dept of Natural Resources to 150% of the 2014 department.

this being Texas, there is so much that needs fixing, it would be difficult to pick the top 5-10.

I'll have to mull this over a bit.

Do something about the most regressive tax structure in the nation
Establish a wealth tax
Repeal the state ban on local authorities considering rent control
Establish a state bank
Revise marijuana laws for more consideration of medical users
More funds for K-12 education
Enough funding to make public universities public again
Make Boeing commit to in state jobs in return for tax breaks
Revisit all tax breaks to see if they are actually producing more jobs and other public benefits.
Much better coal and oil train safety regulations

and although I knew we were progressive, I didn't know how really good we have it.

But you came up with more to do.

I would add GMO labeling, renewable energy use by all government institutions at the minimum, growth control for forested area and urban areas because they need to be supported by utilities and Fire protection. Transportation--rather than have tolled HOV lanes why not have light rail run up and down 405 and across 520. Afffordable housing-I worked in the 90s for a studio apartment building that had 20 percent of the units for working poor. We need more of those and at a higher rate in the Puget Sound. (Include larger apartments for families)

My top 8 issues:

1. Raise the minimum wage to $15/hr over a period of 4 or 5 years
2. Repeal the flat tax and put in place a graduated income tax (would require amending state constitution)
3. Automatic voter registration
4. reject all tax breaks for large corporations and use money to repair broken infrastructure
5. marijuana legalization
6. place a moratorium on fracking to allow for more studies/allow municipalities to ban fracking
7. use revenue from graduated income tax to increase education funding
8. use revenue from graduated income tax to increase investment in solar/wind energy
