Many feature live music, craft beers, etc. but it varies from one to the next. Gives the place more character. Definitely not you usual cookie-cutter fast food franchise.

Unfortunately, I caught (?) the gluten thing. Now there is but one decent beer that I can have—Omission. Omission has a secret process that removes the gluten. It is wonderful. I went for several years with no beer! It was awful. Fortunately I still had music, books and whiskey, lol.

Oh, I can't have pizza now either. But I like to think about what pizza would be like at a place like MM. We make the occasional gluten-free pizza at home but it falls far short.

Always nice to see you, japple.

former home state, I went with a friend to Sierra Nevada's new facility in Mills River, NC, hoping for a tour, but since they were all booked up, we did a self-guided tour of their fabulous facility and it was a visual treat. Will be going back for the full tour and tasting (my favorite part!) While my sister and I were in Montana in August, we tried to visit at least one brewery every couple of days and sampled a few awesome local brews at Flathead Lake Brewery, Kallispell Brewing and in Helena, MT. Our favorite was an IPA from Draught Works in Missoula, MT--yum, yum.

So sorry to hear of your gluten-y problems, but at least you now have an alternative. I will share this info (and keep on hand) for friends who are having those same issues.

Omission created an IPA to go with the Pale Ale and Lager. I have three left that I hope to save for Saturday evening. One can certainly develop a fondness for IPAs.

President Jimmy Carter credit for relaxing the federal statute against home brewing beer. Home brewing evolved directly into this amazing craft brewing diversity we see in the nation today.

And I have severe lactose intolerance. But even I eat pizza once in a while. With real cheese and tons of toppings. I call it garbage can pizza; pour whatever's in the garbage on top. And yup, a couple of days later I have a bad day. The pizza is worth it. Yummy to the tummy!

I am not a vegetarian, let alone a vegan, so I will pass on vegan pizza. There is no there there, as far as I can tell.

My best to you.

I tried making Cream of Wheat with soy milk. It tasted like fucking grass. Horrible stuff.

The only stomach-able soy product is chocolate ice cream, which just tastes like Fudgsicles, not remotely like ice cream.

No wonder they flavor it with sweet stuff. That is the only way one can stand the shit.

And it isn't just a few slices of mushroom scattered around the pie. It's a veritable mountain of mushrooms that shrink down like mushrooms do and are both chewy and crispy, on a bed of gooey swizz cheese.

Also at least where I am, lots of liberals hang out at MM. It might be because of the hippie vibe.
