Actually it's free but I just looked at the registration site and there is now a wait list.

Good gracious...every place Bernie goes, they need a bigger venue!

2. he is popular here.

about a year ago he did an exploratory gig in evanston, just north of chi.
it was word of mouth, no big push. it was $15, iirc.
the place was standing room only. and the crowd was raucous.

(lucky me slipped in at the last minute and ended up right next to the podium. got to crack wise a bit, and got to grab him at the end and beg him to come back to address our local party meeting.)
