The latest candidate to gain on overall favorable ratings in our latest poll is a big surprise for both the establishment left and right.
Both Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders saw upticks in their favorability ratings, according to the latest poll conducted by Google Consumer Surveys for IJ.com, but Clintons small gains has been overshadowed by a leap from Sanders.
Senator Sanders has seen a jump from 36% to 44% favorability rating among very likely voters polled:
The spike is, of course, likely attributed to Sanders performance during the first ever 2016 Democratic presidential debate.

(4,490 posts)Don't know how the chips will fall, but I think regardless just his candidacy is helping kill the socialist boogeyman that has been set up in the U.S. It's too bad someone decided less debates was better.

DWS,the establishment,and top 1% is getting what it wants.
After first debate it's clear my views are nolonger welcomed in democratic party.I can't see why anyone would say she won over
bernie and her support would go up and bernie's goes down.but,that's apparently what is happening.
