Bernie Sanders

Tried to be a (never) right winger hit piece. Everything it has is anti-Democratic Party. That is how this site leans while calling itself journalism. Maybe Western Propaganda would be a better name for it.

Democratic presidential nominee Bernie Sanders calls himself a democratic socialist.
He has stated: Democratic socialism is taking a hard look at what countries like Denmark, Sweden, Norway (and) Finland have done over the years and try to ascertain what they have done that is right, in terms of protecting the needs of millions of working families and the elderly and the children. And I think theres much that we can learn from those countries that have had social democratic governments and labor governments or whatever.
Has Sanders also spoken positively of more radical regimes such as Fidel Castros Communist Cuba?
In a 1985 video discovered by CNS News, Sanders applauded Castro for having totally transformed society in Cuba.

(92,204 posts)HRC group. If you look at my posts, 99% of my posts, are posted in the General Discussion, General Discussion Primary forums, and LBN. I have no idea how they determine a favorite group. It isn't my doing, and as I said I rarely go into any of the candidates special groups,
Incidentally, I really haven't decided what I am going to do in the primaries.
However, you may not believe that, and you may believe that I am being disrespectful or my comments are unsupportive of Senator Sanders, or not. Regardless, the group has every right to lock me out, and I accept that. However, I am not a disruptor

(99,652 posts)Since the other places you post are forums, a few posts in the Hillary GROUP would do that. No big deal for an undecided.

(11,945 posts)He said Cuba's not perfect and pointed out that Castro did some good things for the Cuban people. True on both counts.
He did not in any way, shape or form rant about the superiority of communism. Or socialism.
That is a pretty calm, down-to-earth little video, and anyone (HRC op research?) who dug that up thinking they might damage him, will be disappointed.
