How Bernie Sanders has already won

(CNN)Bernie Sanders has won.

Not the nomination, of course. That is almost certainly not going to happen. Barring an unforeseen development, Hillary Clinton's grasp on the party's nomination is strong and getting stronger.

Her triumphant October — a strong performance in the highly watched first Democratic debate in Las Vegas, a tour de force before the hapless House Benghazi panel, and Vice President Joe Biden's decision not to run -- have quieted Democratic bed-wetters and put Clinton firmly in the driver's seat.

She leads nationally by a wide margin, and folks in Iowa, home of the first-in-the-nation contest, say her team is building the superior ground game she lacked in 2008. This is critical to victory in the organizationally rigorous caucuses.

Fuck these people who write this tripe! We're a year away from the general and the pre-primary is just now getting in full swing. There is a LONG way to go before a news organization should be able to make that sort of declaration. Once I read that, sorry. . . TLDR.

They're playing mind games. If they say "Bernie won't win" enough times, people will just vote for their chosen candidate, Clinton - and nothing could be further from the truth! What they're doing is pissing off millions of people who are going to be motivated even more to get Bernie elected!

Axelrod is an asshole.

to the problems of college student in paying their debts, to the problems of the poor ETC then he would consider that he had won.

He has not actually moved Hillary in reality. She will swing hard right if she gets the nomination, and forget all the pretty policy phrases she is using now to court liberals and progressives.

of your Bernie groups. It's all over eh CNN? Propaganda rubbish. Bernie has also said from the beginning that he's in this to W-I-N.

A piece from David Axelrod no less, gee what a surprise.

go all the way for things to change. It is good that some politicians eyes have been opened as they were shut before. Maybe, just maybe he can manage to pull the whole party back to the left. At least the Democratic Party seems to be moving slowly to the left, they even recognize that it is happening. They even realize that being Left is electable. Before they thought moving to the right was the only way to win.

Moving Hillary to the 'left' for the duration of the campaign, was NOT Bernie's intention or ours.

We know that campaign rhetoric means nothing. The idea that you can change a politician's core beliefs simply by challenging them in an election, I wish I knew where that came from?

What we AND Bernie know is that you cannot do that. That if you fall for it, and elect someone who is arguing AGAINST themselves in an election, they will go right back to what they really are once elected.

I used to really enjoy listening to Axelrod, but NO one has the nomination tied up at this point. And for all of the support of the corporate media and big funders, it is still a question of votes.

And I can do without the patronizing. "He's already won" = He can go home now, he's done enough.

Well, time will tell.

I didn't read article but the idea bernie could win without winning nomination is nonesense.

There is no pulling Clinton to left.she will move back to right after primarys are over.

To win bernie needs the nomination.Otherwise he would be shut out.

This drives me crazy!! What the heck?!! I'm sick and tired of people discussing
Hillary's positions on issues as if they are the real deal! Not true! Not true people!!!
She can say anything she wants, it means nothing!!! Absolutely nothing! Sorry I feel like
ranting because I know the darn debates are going to be about Paris tonight! The Hawk will
be in her glory! Everybody always thinks that bombing everybody and everything is the way to go.
I heard an interview early this morning where someone from CBS admitted they are changing the
questions to Paris for the first part of the debates tonight. I probably had too much coffee this morning.
This is driving me insane. Let's face it if anybody believes what Hillary says, they are ... (fill in blanks). I
would fill them in myself but I don't know if it will end up being an alerted on.
