HOWEVER....

The Clinton supporters have been gloating all along about poll results. Always eager to point to insignificant numbers as a reason to not have to defend their candidate.

"Hillary's still ahead so nyyah nyahhh"

I fight fire with fire myself soooo... Since the tables have turned I'd say it's perfectly reasonable to gloat right back.

From what I can tell, we Bernie supporters have been capable of defending our candidate from day one, no need to hide behind polls. And now that some polls aren't in favor of her inevitableness, I encourage the promotion of them, even if I don't trust them.

its a morale thing you know?

But if we're going to - uh - gloat, we'll want to do it politely and with style.

Today I saw that a die-hard Hill supporter put up a gif showing someone saying, "It's over." There is so much ugly in that...

Bernie supporters seem to be nicer, don't we?

over. I believe that is why he is in the position he is in. I believe that there are many over on the other side that had they not put the HRC logon on their sig right out of the box, would have easily been for Bernie. But once you pledge allegiance to someone, the person can not bring themselves to switch. It is just human nature. It like rooting for one football team and switching to the other team at halftime. Muricans don't do that.

That's a damn dramatic swing for such a short time, especially when multiple other polls have shown Clinton slowly rising again lately.

I welcome the actual change, if it's happening, but I want to see it backed up by other polls.

You want to think the game is already over, but that usually ends up being just wishful thinking more than anything.

A lot of teams tend to be really bad at sitting on a lead. They think all the hard work is done, so they get lazy and complacent. Instead of continuing to work at playing their game 100%, their focus shifts to trying to protect what they've already done.

It's not a winning strategy. The other team has a whole bunch of time on the clock. And you've motivated them to bust ass even more, to try to catch up. While you sit back and pretend you can just phone it in.
