I think it's of poor taste, using the word 'stones,' but perhaps it works where that guy frequents.

of the bellicose attitude encountered too frequently in my neighborhood, namely, that veterans' opinions carry greater weight than anyone else's. On one memorable occasion at a candidate's town hall meeting, a veteran rose to ask a question and demanded that he be given more time because of his service; I was sitting with two veterans who were astounded by his comment, and they both spoke up in favor of "every voice matters". But we still hear it.
