http://www.bipartisanreport.com/2015/12/21/veterans-bernie-say-sanders-website-blocked-military-bases/Supposedly it's difficult (impossible) to reach berniesanders.com from some military bases but hillary and trump sites are functioning.

A representative for Veterans for Bernie told Bipartisan Report that the lack of access to Sanders website has been tried and confirmed by an Air Force captain and army Staff Sgt. at Fort Campbell, as well as by an overseas service member. They confirmed that they will be actively looking into the issue.

"The group acknowledges that it may be a glitch or only happening at select bases, but are firm that it must be rectified immediately.
If the military is censoring Sanders website, it may be the first time for a presidential candidate, but it would not be the first time in recent memory that they have barred political content."

before it gets spread... let's see who is on active duty and can verify it?

(14,586 posts)There's two kinds of politicians - the first are ones who solemnly intone that 'it is noble to die for your country' and then cry 'havoc and loose the dogs of war,' after which they studiously ignore and deny the needs of returning veterans. Because, hey, if the government doesn't then outfits like 'wounded warriors' will do it! Privatization at its best, right?
They are the ones who are controlled by the MIC, so no surprise they will try and keep Bernie's message away from active duty people.
The second type, far rarer, are people like Bernie who will fight if need be, but says:
"IF YOU AREN'T WILLING TO TAKE CARE OF THE VETERANS, THEN DON'T GO TO WAR."
In fact, Bernie's had vets' backs for a long time but again he's not wild about going to war unless absolutely necessary.

(592 posts)Where allowed on base, all Democratic candidate websites are able to be viewed.

(15,727 posts)the DOD will pop up a page saying this site is not allowed and to call a phone number if the blocking is in error.
However it can be blocked at the base and that would not show the DOD error according to the posters.

(1,937 posts)base wide i could possibly imagine
that's why i posted here, figured, multiple active duty members from different bases could report yay or nay
just one report from one base means little
