So I want to know if its true ...

I had heard a rumor on DU or saw some one make mention that after the next election if Hillary wins, if there are still any Bernie Sanders supporters, they will be banned from DU and no longer allowed to participate, that there will be a huge sweeping of Sanders supporters off DU.

My question is, if this is true, what are prepared to do?? This group will probably be deleted if so.. what are you prepared to do?

I want to stay... will you?

I know the ToS and I won't be supporting her, so I'll bow out for a few months.

But, let's hope she won't so we won't have to worry about it.

I saw it and I was shocked. I will back Bernie.. but I don't want to be banned from DU, i love it here..and I plan to vote for whoever the Democratic Nominee is, whatever the circumstances. As to where I saw it, it was in GD-P and I don't recall who said it,.. and perhaps they were quoting something Skinner said.

Frankly it scared me.

I mean I doubt the people running this site would mass ban Bernie supporters especially when we did nothing wrong but I suppose you never know. Let's hope that never happens.

This didn't happen when Barrack Obama beat Hillary, but things have changed this time. It was a clear statement anyone who doesn't back Hillary will be swept off the website. I plan to comply.. I don't want to be removed.

I would never discourage anybody from voting for her either because I don't want a Republican to occupy the White House in 2017. I'll just stay low if she wins the primary.

Anyway as long as Sanders wins the primary I doubt any of this will even come to pass.

can be taken as a negative about Hillary. I will not even try. If she's the nominee I will simply bow out of DU and the Democratic Party, and go off in search of places and groups that support my values.

How very undemocratic is that. Not surprising though.

I have already joined this site:

and have cancelled my star account so I'm ready to go. Personally, if Hillary wins I'm leaving.

I get the same feeling I get from Hillary supporters as I do Republicans supporters and life is just too short.

I hope this helps.

PS. Quite a few from this board have accounts @JPR already.

Du has a running list of other sites you can go to on the landing page, you can choose one of them as well.

The arguing and willful ignorance has gotten to me.

There is a chance it can get better but until then I'm pretty much doing flybys anymore.

Merry Christmas!

sure to get the country out of the hands of those currently destroying it. I know Bernie is going to win this because the people are behind him. And if he doesn't, it will be because that small group who managed to get control of the system, will do all they can to stop him and the people from winning.

But the movement he is building won't end, it will only grow and I want to be part of that. What needs to happen to get this country back on track will take time, we know that. Bernie has given us hope that when the people are united, we cannot lose. To build that kind of unity doesnt end with an election, if the results are more of the same, the urgency will be even greater to continue to build what has been started.

that places a higher value on watching what one says vs the spirit of veritas.

Ultimately, this is just a chat board. If you fall into an abyss between what is said and what is done, life still goes on.

Please, step back, draw in a few deep breaths, and feel reassured that you are valued and always wanted here. This is one of those "Things that I am afraid of that will never really happen" things.

Sometimes people say extreme things that seem serious at first, but the seriousness factor fades with time. This is one of them.

And shame on whoever scared yuiyoshida like this.

just as recent banning of several active posters has proved to damage the service DU offered.

And it was not just the banning, but the ugly and baseless way it was done.

At some point, this is either a service, or it's an echo chamber.

people who cant handle the loss, on either side, and disrupt the site will be shown the door.
the guys arent stupid. they know that banning people loses business for them. and they arent policing every post.
if people dont get hides, they likely will have no problem. where manny stepped over the line was in trying to line up other people to say they would not vote for the nominee. dont do shit like that, and you will be fine.

Usually of Liberals who vocally pushed back against the Party line, and often in the aftermath of a primary or election if they spoke out against the Democratic candidate. We lost via banning a LOT of people after the first election of Obama -- primarily because they were Liberals who insisted on holding him to the same standards we had held Bush to for 8 years. Know this: once the primary candidate is chosen things will get VERY restricted here -- the same if the Democratic candidate wins the Presidency. And, if Clinton is the nominee, expect The Hillary Pack to be keeping everyone in line and alerting like crazy on anyone they feel is not onboard. If you keep your head down, your most vocal criticisms to yourself, and just ride it out you will be OK.

Those of us who have been loud or vocal about our Candidate will be not only remembered but put on a list of potential people to be booted or removed off the website. I do like Bernie and have said so. People know me too.. they know where I stand..I just don't want a target painted on my back, and to have people watch everything I do, looking for something they can throw on me, to create a hide, or several hides. People have stalked alerted before and I don't think that is going to stop, there will be revenge stalking, once a candidate is picked.. either way, its gonna to feel mighty uncomfortable around here. I may have to hide in the Asian group for a while.
