With @JoeBiden’s entry into the race, I bet the meme “I’m Ridin’ with Biden” will gain popularity over the coming months. It was originally designed in 2015 by David Colman, a volunteer w/ Draft Biden 2016. I proudly served as the group’s national finance chair. #ImRidinWithBiden

I love Kamala Harris and I would love to see a woman POTUS. But for this round, I think it's Joe Biden to bring it home and go toe-to-toe with Donald Trump. We absolutely must kick the Trumpster and his odious enablers to the curb, a complete repudiation. Our national survival depends on it.

At the moment, I believe Biden is the candidate to do just that.

And a Biden/Harris ticket would be just fine with me.

I think what could happen or what will happen is that Biden will be able to put together the Obama Grassroots style campaign with the help of President Obama and Michelle and Eric Holder, Axlerod and other adivsors.
But he has to be careful not to get caught in a trap that allows the Repukes to claim this is an Obama third term and I think Joe can show he is his own man.
Now I must say with Joe claiming that our number one priority is to get Trump out of the White House.
So I am impressed.

His second term was pure gridlock. I'm not blaming him, but we need someone to smash through the gridlock. If Biden can do that, great, but that would not look like Obama's 3rd term, it would like FDR's 1st.

We have been trying for healthcare for 100 years. And Obama did it...saved the economy too...protected dreamers. The only reason we didn't get more is those who couldn't get over that we couldn't get a public option trashed him in the midterms. Theses folks are now insisting that they want their perfect progressive pure candidate even though Biden is the only one who can win a general...three states. We need Mi ,PA AND WI. We must win or there will be no progressive movement for generation.

He made progress on LGBTQ and Dreamers which was good, but it was all by executive action so Trump undid it. Better if we could get something through Congress, which Biden would deserve the credit for.

I'm not knocking anything Obama did, I'm just saying I want something better and we should run on that basis. It doesn't need to be a progressive wish list. A moderate wish list would be more doable and still contain huge achievements.

Sure, if two candidates seems about equal in terms of electability, by all means vote your heart when choosing between them.

But if you think one candidate has a significantly better chance of winning the GE after winning the primary, you might be hurting your own party's chances by voting with your heart and possibly eliminating your best candidate.

I like Rachel, but I suspect that for her right now there's a conflict between heart and brain, and she isn't ready yet to go with her brain.

You may recall that back in 2007, Hillary topped the polls but those early poll leads failed to hold and Obama became our nominee and went on to win the general.

"Gallup’s 2007 national presidential polling strongly points to Clinton winning the 2008 Democratic nomination. Barring something unusual or otherwise unexpected, she is well positioned for the 2008 Democratic primaries. Obama has not been an insignificant rival: he came within single digits of tying Clinton for the lead at two points this spring. But he has recently lost ground and is now in the weakest position relative to Clinton that he has been in all year."
