.. with Sanders and Mayor Pete locked in second.

Warren is a close fourth.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:

I prefer Pete to Sanders, by a lot, but 12 is 12 and 5 is 5. Sanders is beating Pete even with MOE.

Joe Biden

for Pete to have any votes at all here is impressive. Biden must be loving this poll because not only does he have a huge lead but the other two candidates are likely not going to be able to overtake him even if he loses support. If Pete were to take 2nd in Iowa and either 2nd or a very close third in NH he would be considered the other candidate to Biden and Biden would have to love that for SC. I doubt Pete can climb much above 15 here even in a two candidate race. He might not love it in other states but the hard corps south SC, Georgia, Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee are going to be very hard for Buttigieg outside of the major cities.

primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

At least that is what I have seen so far.

That is why he is doing worse in South Carolina than he is in Iowa and New Hampshire.

and that is hurting him there but he also has a ceiling in SC regardless of his ability to get black voters due to the anti gay nature of the state.

I live in a part of North Carolina that is rather similar to South Carolina and the anti marriage equality amendment carried over 80% of the vote in my county and that was in 2012. Being against gay rights good politics even in our primaries in much of the south. I don't think that would work this time.

so if she rises outside of SC she will also rise in SC. I don't think the same things is necessarily true of Pete. Also Warren should be killing him in NH and isn't. That is a huge problem for her.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Being "electable" (whatever that means) has consistently been the principal attribute that Democrats are seeking in their 2020 nominee. Evidently, Joe Biden has that quality ... particularly in South Carolina.

Thank you for posting these poll results.
