The Canary in the Coal Mine..and our political candidates

Its one of my favorite analogies.. the canary in the coal mine.. and for those not familiar with it.. miners used to take canaries into the mines because when the oxygen levels dropped and carbon monoxide levels rose .. the canaries would alert the miners.

https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smart-news/story-real-canary-coal-mine-180961570/

People who live their politics in the left and in the right edges.. are like the canaries.. they can see things coming and are quick to alert..

People who are so embedded in their political stance cannot always see how best to work an effective strategy..because they are so busy giving notice.. this is not a good working proposition..

My way or the highway.. purity stances are pretty typical on both edges of our political life.. I am old enough to remember liberal Republicans.. but they have been driven out of their party.. even moderate Republicans and Conservatives have been driven out by the very loud voice of fear from their edges..

So with this is mind.. I am looking at our candidates who can work with the center to the left..

When I start seeing Dino used or moderates need to driven from the party.. is not an effective thing.. we need everyone.. those to give us warning and those to do the work..

From what I have seen, it is rare to see a Democrat present or discuss this whole 'socialism' bandwidth in a truthful, clear, logical way.

The right is brilliant at how they lie and scare monger - COMMUNISM !! VENEZUELA, STALIN.. such bullshit.. STEAL YOUR FREEDOMS !!

"We' NEVER speak to that and shut it down !
And when 'we' do, it is with so many words everybody goes to sleep.

Actual 'socialism' will never work in the USA. Nor will capitalism-ANYWHERE! It is too destructive.

and you have Amy Klobuchar, a moderate, has successfully worked with Republicans to pass more bills except except Connecticut’s Richard Blumenthal. Chose not to follow the herd of "freebies" and is courageous to say this to even skeptic audience.

Klobuchar is a worthy candidate, getting no attention

Came with infrastructure and addiction fighting plans that won accolades.
