Rudy Giuliani openly admits the plot against Biden: 'We're meddling in an investigation'

written by Cody Fenwick May 10, 2019

Rudy Giuliani has no problem asking a foreign government to go after political rivals. Which makes sense, since we know that his client, President Donald Trump, has done the same.

In a new episode we might call, “Ukraine, if you’re listening,” Giuliani was upfront with the New York Times that he’s heading to the fraught European nation in part to press the incoming president to investigate Joe Biden, the frontrunner in the Democratic field to take on Trump in 2020.

“We’re not meddling in an election, we’re meddling in an investigation, which we have a right to do,” Giuliani told the Times.

Reporter Kenneth Vogel astutely noted the eye-popping optics of the situation:

Mr. Giuliani’s plans create the remarkable scene of a lawyer for the president of the United States pressing a foreign government to pursue investigations that Mr. Trump’s allies hope could help him in his re-election campaign. And it comes after Mr. Trump spent more than half of his term facing questions about whether his 2016 campaign conspired with a foreign power.

6. Chump's buddy Macri in Argentina is doing a very similar thing.

As you know, Judi, they're coercing witnesses and even unrelated individuals to give false testimony against Macri's opponents.

In Macri's case, they were hoping the "cases" would distract voters from his calamitous financial crisis - much like Giuliani hopes that a few trumped-up charges (no pun intended) distracts U.S. voters from Cheeto's massive treason and other ethical problems.

These guys a like errant schoolboys, always cheating and copying off each other - and before long, always in trouble.

7. Stupid to admit it, unless it's a bluff. I guess it's because of the Steele Dossier.

Hillary Clinton bought the Dossier from that investigator in Great Britain. Trump's team is apparently still really mad about that.

Hey, if it's legal, it's legal. He can do that. Biden's been in politics a long time. I doubt there's anything there that hasn't been outed before, like the plagiarism from eons ago. I'm certain there are no kickbacks, payoffs, bribes, porn stars, pregnant mistresses....

8. Hillary didn't buy anything from a British investigator.

Her campaign paid an American company, Fusion GPS, who themselves contracted out part of their investigation to Christopher Steele the British former spy who delivered to them a series of memos on his findings (the sum of which became referred to as the 'dossier').

Which is a million miles away from using the presidency to pressure a foreign government into investigating your political opponents.

A difference w/o much distinction. She didn't hire another country to dig up dirt on Trump. My point was that Ghouliani was trying to equate the two things. He was saying, "Hey, if it's legal for them to do it, I can hire the Ukraine to dig up dirt on Trump's opponents." He was trying to do a false equivalency because of the Steele Dossier, which they are still mad about.

But it didn't fly. He's backed off from that.

14. The point was that Ghouliani was trying to make a false equivalency.

Whether she bought it directly or indirectly wasn't my point (she bought it indirectly, using the common method of hiring an opposition research business). My point was that Guliani was trying to equate the two things, and that's why he made the strange statement, "If it's legal, it's legal! I'm going to the Ukraine and hire them." They're not the same thing, of course. And that was my point.

After all the investigations into foreign intrusion and denials, this flies in face of any reason--blatantly threatening to stir up shit in Ukraine for the sake of Trump's withered ass. Giuliani should be investigated. A former state AG and mayor of NYC has turned into a lowlife, the same sort that Rudy once prosecuted with vigor.

Makes no sense. Except that Everything Trump Touches Dies. And souls? They appear to be going at basement bargain prices.
