Vanguard Public Affairs and Denno Research offered the names of 22 Democratic candidates for President to self-identified Democrats only the six listed above polled higher than 1 percent in Michigan.
Michigan is a critical swing state for Trump if he doesnt win here, he can kiss the Presidency goodbye, said Dennis Denno, President of Denno Research. Its also interesting that Bernie Sanders, who carried Michigan in the 2016 Michigan Presidential Primary is losing almost 2:1 to Biden. In fact, Sanders is losing to undecided, which is not a good starting point for the Sanders campaign.

(42,862 posts)What a humiliating way to start a campaign that everyone thought he was a "shoe-in" to win. He's totally cratered.

(1,810 posts)Even took me a bit of time believing the polls. But enough have been done in the last month and a half and they show consistent trends.
No way I would have thought Sanders would be polling this poorly in MI at this point in time. I think a lot of factors have him dwindling down to his base not the least of which is surrounding himself by Green Party voters and supporters.
I was so wrong about the shoe-in. I thought the way he never stopped campaigning but handed a lot of his operation over to 501cs was really politically savvy. It didnt retain more than his small but active base.
