Democratic Primaries

Congratulations to our presumptive Democratic nominee, Joe Biden!
Watching the candidate Beto after his speech in Iowa......he does seem very personable....
I do love C-SPANs coverage of all these get togethers.

(2,208 posts)2. Beto as VP could help deliver Texas
He really could. And that used to be considered the main reason to pick a VP, to get a big electoral vote state you could not win otherwise.
Beto definitely can be an asset in 2020.

The debates are going to be extremely interesting.

(9,688 posts)4. CSPAN's coverage of these get-togethers
. . especially informal gatherings in Iowa and New Hampshire, etc., is a truly valuable service to the country. Especially for those of us who don't have a chance to see the candidates "up close and personal" ourselves.
Several that I've watched in earlier elections have been quite revealing about candidates' personality and character (and depth and breadth of knowledge, as, unlike town halls, etc., the questions aren't necessarily prescreened).
