This is a man who can't have one silly gaffe, one minor temper flare-up, one peck on a lady's cheek, one touch on the shoulder, without the media declaring an OJ-style news marathon over it.

With Wall Street preference comes preferential treatment.

Yes, they know Biden's no Bernie Sanders or Liz Warren - but that's no longer enough for them.

For presidents, they want lackeys, puppets, jesters, and buffoons.

And they finally found one that's all that (and more) rolled into one.

and Trump can't win without those states...he has no path. Biden can stop him cold; perhaps even Florida and Ohio may be in play with a Biden candidacy. He is from PA and is way up in other states mentioned...he is even leading Trump in Texas. Maybe the nominee has to fit the electorate and election circumstances and not a policy, or a purity standard. The midterms were won by moderates...like it or not we have a House majority because of those moderate candidates and those who voted for them.

Despite how much the Biden supporters hate to hear it, being ahead this early is a predictor of who is NOT going to be the nominee. Since JFK no non-incumbent President or Vice-President Democratic frontrunner in the early polls - even those with big leads - has gone on to win the nomination.

This from 538 doesn't include 2004 or 2008 but the trend also holds there:
https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/what-more-than-40-years-of-early-primary-polls-tell-us-about-2020-part-1/

I think part of the reason these polls are being trumpeted so loudly is some want to shut the process down now before the voters start to learn about the other candidates. Biden has name recognition the others don't, but once the debates and primaries get started that will all change. Liek you said we are not even to chapter 1 yet.

Joe Biden is just the safe bet and I get it but aside from offering a few policy blurbs its the same old shit.
Mayor Pete has proven he is not ready he cant handle his police problem and gave great lip service and away he goes so just imagine what he would tell Black America Gee thanks for the votes ? I am not black but this has been the way things have gone.
America needs more than a green new deal it needs reconstruction.
Whoever wins will have to be the embodiment of Lincoln F.D.R J.FK with the deal making skills of L.B.J thrown in for good measure.
As much as some may have despised her Hillary was that person and America you fucked up you stayed home a few got conned and a few of you stayed home and pouted like a five year old who didn't get a cookie.
Whoever takes the keys from the toddler in chief is going to have to have a plan and not a bunch of words im sick of it and so is the country.
The new commander in chief will have to sell their idea of reconstructing our government and our democracy and our country.
and like Lincoln and F.D.R and J.F.K and L.B.J they will be hated and there will be those misguided Maga zealots who will scream and some who will be out for blood but change comes at a price and I for one am willing to pay for it.
This election has to be more than free college or a guaranteed grand in the bank every month it has to be about reconstruction of our government and our rotting infrastructure and it needs to be about ending our dependence on Oil and it has to be about rebuilding the trust and relations with our allies and we must come together as a world to drive Trump's boyfriends out of relevance by diplomatic and economic means.
IM not looking for sexy and I could care less about having a beer with the president and pissing in the rose garden for sport.
No sir I just want someone man or woman black or white or yellow or green any color but orange Gay BI or straight who can do what must be done this time around
