Isn't it great that we are debating about the future (sarcasm)

like everybody but Joe is supposedly talking about? The future is all I’ve heard from most of the candidates prior to the debate. Now we are arguing about issues long settled. I hope we can elevate the discourse in the coming debates and not relitigate the 70s. We are giving the Trump campaign way too much ammo. Id rather be talking about Obama’s third term than whether we thought busing was a good idea. Do we have any message besides eating our own.

If I were to vote in a presidential
primary today, I would vote for:
Joe Biden

Except Harris chose not to do that, did she?

Instead, she went after the reality that she was down 40 points among AA voters in comparison to Biden, and her only chance of not being an also ran is winning big in South Carolina.

It's transparent.

And it's manipulative, emotional, and essentially untrue.

Too bad so many refuse to see that, and instead revel in a political "gotcha" of absolutely no substance.

That's because we are faced with a choice of whether the future should look like the past as represented by Biden, (compromises, evolution in positions and all) or if it should be something totally new and different, where we will no longer put up will certain things that once were acceptable.

that she and de Blasio were the only two to raise their hands in favor of the abolition of private insurance on Wednesday night?

Its a non-starter with the union folks whose representatives have negotiated hard for decent benefits for their member/workers and their families.

by some of the other candidates.. even BS for ".. you can't go back to the past.." but who's trying to get stuck in the past now?

It was just a soundbyte anyway, imo. It's rather impossible not to talk about the freaking past if you want to learn for the present and future.

So maybe they can drop that line of attack now?
